Sailstar Basic Sailing Course – 3 Days (Seglarintyg 1)

Discover the thrill of sailing with Sailstar! In four immersive and inspiring days, you’ll learn the essentials of sailing from Viggbyholm in Täby, north of Stockholm. Together, we’ll navigate aboard our brand-new Aira 22 sailboats and cover all the fundamentals of sailing.

What’s Included in the Course?

• Fundamental sailing techniques: points of sail, tacking, jibing, downwind sailing, understanding wind directions, and weather conditions.
• Practical skills: sail setting, sail care, maneuvering, docking, and anchoring.
• Safety and seamanship: right-of-way rules, sailing terminology, and more!

The course covers all practical knowledge required for the Level 1 Sailing Certificate, as well as all the theory. However, you will need to take a knowledge test for the theoretical part after the course. This test can be taken directly at the last hour at the course (or later at Sailstar). The test costs 175 SEK to Sailstar and an additional 175 SEK to NFB when you register for the test (the right to take it).

Practical Information
We provide life vests onboard. Please come prepared with weatherproof clothing, fleece layers, a hat, gloves, and good shoes. The course is open to those 16 years and older.

Pricing and Booking

• Price: SEK 4,350. Payment can be made by card or Swish.
• Booking Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of SEK 1,850 is due upon registration, with the remaining balance due one week before the course starts.
• Group Discount: Register three people together and get a 10% discount per person.
