Seminar 484 Biodiversity Based Integrated Pest Management in Field Crops


During the last decades there is an increased interest in Integrated Pest Management (IPM). This is partly due to implementation of IPM in EU but there is also increased interest in the importance of biodiversity in agriculture and horticulture. The seminar will be organized together with the NOVA PhD course “Biodiversity Based Integrated Pest Management in Field Crops”. The seminar will cover general presentations on Integrated Pest Management in Europe by professor Per Kudsk, Denmark and examples of implementation of IPM and also include presentations on National Actions Plans for IPM and the role of biodiversity. The seminar will include presentations by invited speakers as well as project presentations from PhD students and also include submitted papers from participants. You are very welcome to submit abstracts in the area of Biodiversity Based Integrated Pest Management in Field Crops. This includes both agricultural crops as well as horticultural crops. We welcome also methods of forecasting pests and diseases.

The seminar will be held on 3rd September 2015 at Wiiks slott preliminary from 10.00 until 18.30 followed by dinner. Preliminary registration from 09.00.

Seminar location:
The seminar takes place at the historic and picturesque Wiks Slott, outside of Uppsala, Sweden (http://www.lul.se/wiksslott). Hotel room reservation has to be made directly to Wiiks slott. If there are not room enough hotel room reservation can be made at hotels in Uppsala. Seminar organizers will organize transport from Uppsala to Wiiks Slott if needed.

Submission of abstracts for posters and presentations: 15th July 2015
